Membership Terms & Conditions

1. Commitment & Minimum Term All memberships at Be. are subject to a minimum commitment period of three 3 months (the "Initial Term"). By purchasing a membership, you agree to three consecutive monthly payments.

2. Transition to Rolling Contract Following the completion of the Initial Term, your membership will automatically transition to a rolling monthly contract. Your subscription will continue to renew on your billing date each month at the then-current rate.

3. Cancellation Policy

  • During Initial Term: You may not cancel your membership during the first three months, except in cases of documented medical necessity or relocation (see "Exceptional Circumstances").

  • After Initial Term: You may cancel your rolling membership at any time. To cancel, you must send an email to hello@beunderground.co.uk at least 30 days prior to your next billing date.

  • Note: Cancellations are only valid via email. Social media messages or verbal requests will not be processed.

4. Space Etiquette & Termination of Service To maintain our daily retreat environment, all members agree to follow our Etiquette Guidelines.

Our Right to Cancel: We reserve the right to terminate or suspend any membership immediately, without refund for the remaining month, if a member fails to respect the space, our guidelines, or the peace of our community.

5. Fees & Payments Failed payments may result in a temporary suspension of access to the studio and facilities until the balance is settled.

6. Exceptional Circumstances & "Pause" Policy

We understand that life happens. While our 3-month commitment helps us keep the space sustainable, we offer flexibility for the following circumstances:

  • Medical & Injury: If a medical professional advises that you are unable to practice yoga or use the rest of the facilities, we can freeze your membership for up to 3 months or cancel the remaining Initial Term. We may request a doctor’s note or medical evidence.

  • Relocation: If you move more than 20 miles away from the centre, you may cancel your Initial Term by providing proof of your new address.

  • Redundancy or Financial Hardship: We are a community first. If your financial situation changes unexpectedly, please reach out to us. We will handle these cases with total discretion and empathy to find a solution that works for both parties.

  • Membership Freeze: If you are going away for an extended holiday (2 weeks+), you may pause your rolling membership once per year for a maximum of 30 days. Please provide 15 days notice via email.

Liability Waiver & Release of Liability

1. Assumption of Risk I understand that participation in activities at Be.—including but not limited to Yoga, Sauna use, and Cold Plunge therapy—involves inherent risks. These risks include physical injury, fainting, slipping, falls, or complications arising from exposure to extreme temperatures. I voluntarily assume full responsibility for any risks, injuries, or damages, known or unknown, which I might incur as a result of using the facilities.

2. Physical Condition & Medical Advice I represent and warrant that I am in good physical health and do not suffer from any medical condition (such as heart disease, high blood pressure, or respiratory issues) that would limit my participation. I acknowledge that:

  • I have been advised to consult with a physician prior to starting any new physical or thermal therapy regime.

  • I am not pregnant (or if I am, I have received explicit medical clearance to use heat/cold therapy).

  • I am not under the influence of drugs or alcohol during my visit.

3. Waiver of Liability I, my heirs, or legal representatives forever release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue Be., its owners, directors, employees, and independent contractors (including Yoga instructors and management) for any injury, loss, or death caused by their negligence or other acts.

4. Personal Property I understand that Be. is not responsible for the loss, theft, or damage of any personal property brought onto the premises.

5. Emergency Acknowledgment In the event of a medical emergency, I authorize Be. staff to seek medical treatment on my behalf if I am unable to do so, and I agree to be responsible for any costs incurred.

6. Respect for Safety Guidelines I agree to strictly adhere to all posted safety signs and verbal instructions from staff regarding the safe use of the sauna, cold plunge, and studio space.

7. You must be of at least 18 years of age to be a member at Be. The Underground retreat and all guests must be 18+, unless agreed prior with management.

Participation, Support & Guest Conduct

  • By attending Be., all guests confirm they are physically and mentally able to participate safely in sauna, cold exposure, yoga, and wellness activities.

  • Guests are responsible for listening to their own body and using the facilities within their own limits. If at any time a guest feels unwell, dizzy, distressed, or unable to continue safely, they should stop immediately and notify a member of staff.

  • While our team are happy to provide general guidance and support during sessions, Be. is not a medical, healthcare, or assisted-care facility. Our staff are not trained carers, support workers, or medical professionals and are unable to provide personal care, physical handling, lifting assistance, or one-to-one supervision.

  • Guests who may require assistance, supervision, or additional support to participate safely must attend with an appropriate companion or support person.

  • For the safety, comfort, and wellbeing of all guests and staff, abusive, aggressive, threatening, discriminatory, inappropriate, or disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated. Be. reserves the right to refuse entry, end a session, or remove any guest from the premises without refund where behaviour is considered unsafe or inappropriate.
